EUROUZ is looking forward to welcoming the Ona Foundation to its ESG Committee, where their extensive resources and experience implementing social support projects around the country could serve as a support base & shared best practices for other EUROUZ members’ ESG strategies development in Uzbekistan within the framework of its Social element.

This initiative is part of a larger decarbonization effort in partnership with VEMA S.A. (Switzerland) and ICA-Finance AS (Norway), utilizing advanced Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) techniques. The project is expected to cut carbon dioxide emissions by over 83,000 tons annually, akin to removing 20,000 cars from the road. Funded by participant investments and compensated through the sale of Upstream Emission Reduction Units (UERs), this initiative aligns with the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and contributes to Uzbekistan's commitment to reducing methane emissions as part of the Global Methane Pledge.
