EUROUZ, together with Beeline Uzbekistan, held the first PR and Strategic Communications Committee breakfast meeting. This new initiative will serve as a platform to foster dialogue, share best practices, and strengthen the professional community in Uzbekistan. EUROUZ Intellectual Property & Fair Competition Committee, led by Mukhammadali Makhmudov, Managing Partner at Legalmax Law Firm, hosted a hybrid meeting with around 20 participants. The obstacles and challenges in the regulation and possible solutions of intellectual property and fair competition were discussed during the meeting. A significant outcome of the meeting was signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uzbekistan’s Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee. This agreement establishes a structured approach to ongoing collaboration and dialogue between the state entity and EUROUZ members.

Uzbekistan Aims to Join European Multilateral Transport Network
Uzbekistan is seeking to join the European Conference of Ministers of Transport (ECMT) multilateral permit system, which allows for seamless freight transport across 43 countries. Bekzod Kholmatov, head of Uzbekistan's Center for Transport and Logistics Development Studies, announced this during an International Transport Forum meeting. Joining the ECMT will provide Uzbekistan with simplified access to Europe’s transport network, benefiting trade and logistics. Countries such as Turkey and Denmark support Uzbekistan's inclusion, while the International Transport Forum will evaluate Uzbekistan's compliance with ECMT standards.
Teachers from Uzbekistan to have French Language Internships in 2025
A new agreement will allow 200 French language teachers from Uzbekistan to undergo internships in France in 2025. This initiative was formalized during the 19th summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie, where Uzbekistan's education officials met with French counterparts. The internships, offered on a grant basis, aim to enhance language education in Uzbekistan, which currently teaches French in over 600 schools. The French delegation expressed confidence in Uzbekistan becoming a regional hub for French language education.
